Throngs
of supportive and delighted spectators lined the streets of the lively
Chatham Fourth of July Parade cheering on the Cape Associates Playhouse
Float to benefit Latham Centers. The Shore Road to Main Street route was
the perfect venue to show off the replica home modeled after the 1855
Sea Captain’s house on the campus of Latham School in Brewster. We
honored the parade’s “Hats Off” theme with hard hats perched from the
house’s chimneys and a banner shouting out “Hats off to Cape Associates’
Mike Cole—A Life Well Lived” unfurled from the charming portico. Many Cape Associates’ employees, family and friends turned out to greet the crowds, promote
the raffle and show off the fine craftsmanship of the playhouse valued
at $6,000.
