I have had the pleasure of many visits to New
Orleans (pre-Katrina) and one visit about 6 months after the hurricane.
Nothing can prepare you for what that city went through. Words often
failed me when I tried to describe the sight and
the smell of her neighborhoods in the spring of 2006. I hope Louisiana
and the other coastal communities withstand the forces of nature coming
for them. Memories can sneak back up on you, we see this with some the
children and adults we care for. Be safe,
take care, find people you trust and that can help you through this
crisis. I will be thinking of you.
